Maria Albanese Fifth Annual Dance Party and Fundraiser
Gabriella and I have created this donation page to raise money and awareness for The IBC (Inflammatory Breast Cancer) Network Foundation. As most of you know, we lost my wife and Gabriella’s mom, Maria, to IBC on 12/26/2017. In addition to this page, there will also be a Zumba dance benefit at Royalview Elementary from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on 5/6/2022. Gail Myers and her team Laura Mehalik and Rena Perchinske put this event together in Maria’s honor. Maria loved to dance in Gail’s class so please come out to the event or donate to this page.
We will also be raffling off the following prizes at the benefit:
- Two tickets in the pavilion section to see The Backstreet Boys concert at Blossom Music Center on 7/6
- Two club seat tickets to The Guardians baseball game on 6/29 vs. The Minnesota Twins
- Two gift baskets from Giant Eagle
This is the fifth year for this benefit. It is our hope that raising money will help with research which one day will lead to a cure.
Terry Lynn Arnold, founder of The IBC Network Foundation and IBC survivor, has decided to travel all the from Houston to attend the event! We are very happy she can come. She leads an all volunteer organization and she was a great help to Maria and many other women stricken with IBC. Hope to see lots of people at the event. Please use this page for online donations if you can’t make it.
The purpose of IBC Network Foundation is simple:
- To fund research regarding Inflammatory Breast Cancer.
- To provide an avenue to network proactive education to the general population as well as the medical community regarding Inflammatory Breast Cancer.
Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC):
IBC is a very aggressive more rare form of breast cancer, in which cancer cells block lymph vessels in the skin of the breast. This type of breast cancer is called “inflammatory” because the breast often looks swollen and red, or “inflamed.” Your support is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Jim and Gabriella Albanese
